Steps: Self-Study to Site Visit
Note: These procedures supersede those listed in the April 2016 MPCAC Manual.
Note: It is the applicant’s responsibility to prepare a self-study based on the standards posted in the most recent version of the MPCAC manual.
STEPS | ACTIVITIES |
1 | Applicant notifies ED and MPCAC Chair via email that self-study is ready to be submitted. |
2 | Applicant sends application fee to MPCAC office. |
3 | Upon receipt of the fee, ED creates a Dropbox named for the institution with the following folders: self-study, faculty CVs, syllabi, institutional materials, other appendices, and other documents helpful to the self-study process. |
4 | Applicant uploads materials to Dropbox in the appropriate folders (NO hard copies needed). |
5 | MCAC Chair selects ARC Chair and two site visitors. |
6 | Associate Chair for Accreditation submits site visitors to Applicant to ensure no conflicts of interest. |
7 | ARC Chair and site visitors review Dropbox materials within 60 days of having access to it, identifying questions and any clarifications needed before the site visit can be scheduled, and the ARC chair uploads them to Dropbox. |
8 | Applicant uploads responses to Dropbox folder “Responses to ARC inquiries” and notifies ARC chair. |
9 | ARC Chair and site visitors review responses within 30 days and determine whether the site visit can be scheduled. If necessary the site can be postponed for a period of up to two years. |
10 | ARC Chair solicits potential availability from Applicant and site visitors (e.g., preferred months/days) and finalizes site visit dates, arrangements, and schedules. |
